As many of you are aware, the Somali American Social Service Association (SASSA) was awarded the Targeted Populations Workforce Competitive Grant to help immigrants secure wage-sustaining employment, access career services, and explore business opportunities.
SASSA successfully completed all DEED requirements and, as of August 30, 2024, had hired all necessary staff and personnel to implement the program. The team has been fully engaged in creating program systems and actively supporting many adults in the community, providing guidance, training, and resources to help them achieve their career and business goals.
